From my experience as a classroom teacher, I enjoy working with students and being able to make a positive and significant impact in their lives through education. It brings me great satisfaction to have known that my work has helped someone better understand a concept and can apply it for the rest of his or her life. I also enjoy having the opportunity to get students feeling passionate about learning and wanting to succeed. Working for Stepping Stone Tutors provides me with an opportunity to reach out to more students and be able to provide individualized support that cannot always be offered within a larger classroom setting. Through tutoring as part of Stepping Stone Tutors I am able to work with students to close their educational gaps and put them on a better path for success in school.

I have my Master’s in Education Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I also was a 2009 Teach for America Las Vegas Valley corps member. I also have a working knowledge of Spanish and experience working with English Language Learning students.
