About Online Tutoring - How it Works, Benefits

Some of our most experienced in-home tutors are also available online to work with students who are out of our in-home coverage areas or if we are not able to offer a specific subject nearby. Our systems offer online tutoring toward a large number of different qualifications, including ASVAB, GED, K-12, K-14, K-16, SAT and ACT, to name but a few, in subjects ranging from algebra, biology, reading, Spanish and calculus

We also offer full length online Princeton Review SAT courses for students looking for a self-paced option to SAT prep. Students and tutors schedule times to work together online then both login at the designated time. Students and tutors are both able to upload assignments and curriculum to use on the whiteboard. All sessions are recorded for later viewing including audio and video.

A recent U.S. Department of Education study from 2010 links the "hybrid" approach of combining traditional in-person tutoring with online tutoring to higher student achievement. A 2010 New York City Department of Education study was also published recently supporting the benefits of students using their "School of One" a hybrid approach to learning which resulted in markedly higher achievement especially in math.
